Well, I recently rebuilt Tony's old 700r4 and replaced the th350 in my formula with it. First time i've ever rebuilt an auto. I used a superior/fairbanks shift kit, beast sunshell, updated sprag, 4l60e rebuild kit, and a wide band. The directions with the fairbanks kit had me modify the supplied vette servo.. wrongly. So I had to reinstall the TA servo to get it to work decently at all. Then I drove it up north to the all pontiac show gathering. On our trip up stevens pass I discovered the shift kit didnt work for poo. Always in the wrong gear, wouldnt shift down when it was supposed too or late on the upshifts etc. Knowing this and what the road is like up around crater lake, I decided to order a modified transgo kit from Dana at probuilt. This kit is actually the transgo jr, and the transgo 2&3 put together and modified. It comes with new accumulators, vette servo, 500 boost valve and a larger intermediate valve as well, and the new D seals instead of the factory teflons. Dana does alot of modifications to this kit and the instructions.

Took me 2 days after work, working till 9pm to get it installed.. And a whole lotta cussing, working on the grounds sucks! Had time for just a short cruise tonight.. but I gotta say good so far. It now barks going in 2nd again!! And barks good! Very Happy

Haven't heard that since I put the potenza's on. Even with the stage II th350 the potenza's took away the 2nd gear chirp.. and this isnt just a chirp. Going to drive it to work tomorrow.. Hopefully everything works good, or I could be in Kfalls driving a Yota.

Couple more interesting tidbits. Yet again, I recieved 2 for the price of one. Just as with the spoiler, I got 2 shift kits and charged for one. $168 piece too. I felt bad this time and emailed Dana bout it. But I havent heard back yet.

Also, I now have yet another slinky part. I've been fighting a vibration at 80mph for a long time now. So while the driveline was out, I put in slinky's old one. So we'll see on the way down if its a smooth ride now or not.
