Dart Iron Eagle 450 sbc
The update.
We took the block into the machine shop (cope Brothers) Saturday, for a clean up to make her pretty, and a check up, and line hone, its under size .003 from Dart.
Will be getting it back in a week or so, then we are taking it some where else to have the cam bore bored for roller bearings (big block cam).
Looks like we are going with a crower or lunati 4.125 stroke crankshaft.

We are going to start working on the car soon.
One of the fenders are off, (from the hit and run) and the front nose piece is off as well, we are putting on a new one (to us).
Still looking for the 91/92 front gfx anybody got some?
We will be painting it after my shop is built (at this point its taking forever to plan).
Frame connectors, roll bar, the works.
Shoot, we still have that fancy fiberglass hood we bought and never put it on (thank God, Let see there was the engine fire and the hit and run) would have been a waist of about 600 bucks if it was on….
Oh, I was thinking of doing the 4/7, 2/3 fireing order swap, anybody done that??? they say it puts less stress on the crank.

Sounds like a strong bottom end in the works!
How do you do the firing order swap? Sounds like you would need a new cam? |

I've never heard of a 2/3 swap, I know the 4/7 swap is real common, but you usualy have to have a pretty extreme cam to get the 4/7 swap, or get something custom ground.
Blue, 4 and 7 are the exact same piston position, one is on exaust while the other is on the intake stroke. All you do is switch the cam lobes, so the valves open to switch the firing order.
