WATCH YOUR SPEED in the theocratic state of Utah. cops there will get passed 20 MPH over all day long by Honda MPV* minivans with Utah plates, as soon as your red Trans Am does 5 over with an Oregon plate you are getting a ticket.

the last time i drove through Utah was with my brother in his 240sx on the way beck from Arvada (near Denver) Co. we were doing 55 the whole way through the state, getting passed at 75 by Utah plates all day. at one point we get passed by a Nevada plate at about 60... the cop behind us pulls him over.

*MPV=Mormon Patrol Vehicle. Very Happy

Hmm, dad and I had out-of-state plates and we were doing an average of 80mph, except when it got congested around SLC and Provo a couple months ago. Even passed a few cops.

Have fun in Sunny Utah!

Holy crap am I burnt! There was so much sun it was great!

Schultz, were you in SLC?

I got more attention with the bird then ever! One guy asked if it was a ferrari, another asked if it was a custom fiero and another told, not asked, told me he was going to buy my car.

Had fun, only broke down once. Torque arm retention bolt on the trans side backed out somewhere over Snoqualmine Pass and I made it to Yakima before I even noticed that tapping noise. Luckily my dad's new house is in Yakima and he had a bolt bucket from my house that had a couple torque arm mounts in it with bolts! Talk about luck.

I just set the cruise at 75 with the top down and recorded my best gas mileage yet in the bird. 365 miles on a 13 gallon fillup. ~27-28 miles to the gallon.

My girlfriend and I thought we were going to have to set up a count sheet on how many times I got pulled over. It was once before I even hit the pass but it was just to razz me about my plate and talk about how he used to own a trans am just like mine. Rolling Eyes Laughing

Sounds like a great trip man. Weather would have been perfect for a vert.

I was there on business last Wed/Thur.

Did you get some good pics?

Should've give me a ring although I was probably at the pool.

Mostly mountain shots and such going in and out of town. My digicam busted awhile ago so they were all cell phone pictures. Amazing scenery.

Well, the screen was cracked when I let Steve and Fady borrow it to go to cali months ago and the lense was jacked up when it fell off the back of Tony's bird at the Dyno Gathering this year.

Does Best Buy do warranty work or anything? Or should I just contact cannon?
