I am interested in converting the 350 in my truck from tbi to tpi. So if someone has a manifold setup(preferably with 350 injectors) let me know. _________________ 90 chev suburban 3/4ton 4x4, stock, rebuilt 350 w/TBI,th400, 3.73 gears, 33" pro comp mud terrains. |

I've got some 24# SVO injector's I'm trying to get rid of. I paid $100 for them used. If interested, make me an offer. _________________ 1990 IROC-Z, 383 HSR, 3.70 9-Bolt

I'll take a look at the junkyard tomorrow and see if that computer and wire harness is still there and intact. if so i'll ask em what they want for it. i also have a set of runners for you. you could have them for the 15$ i paid. i snagged the runners off of a yard car to replace my dented ones. i found out once i got home that the ones i got from the yard are only slightly less dented then the ones i already had.
any computers you find are almost certainly going to be 305, but that is just a chip away from being a 350. we have the original 88TPI EPROM from my T/A on Pauls PC. and if he lost it i still have my original chip we could pull it off of. |

| Ive got base, runners, and upper intake on ebay right now. If you win/and bid all of them, I have a throttle body I'll sell you cheap. I think I also have a ecm, but it will need a prom. |

| if you are doing 383 you will want a custom prom anyway. the crew has access to a number of stock TPI proms. (paul has atleat mine and mikes. probably his own as well) |

oh my. What to do. Tony i know that you and john are willing to help with my idle issue, but my latest talks with myself got me thinking why mess around with my tbi when i want to step up to tpi anyway. So i was just thinking is someone had a relativly cheap, relativly complete TPI setup then i would run that. Of coarse what i should do is just do the ultimate upgrade to a LS1 or similar _________________ 90 chev suburban 3/4ton 4x4, stock, rebuilt 350 w/TBI,th400, 3.73 gears, 33" pro comp mud terrains. |

i meant a custom prom for the TPI.... i am a huge fan of ditching the "bastard" fuel injection known as TBI. it just weirds me out that it adds fuel before the throttle blades.... it's like a gasoline fogger system. i prefer direct port injection.
now we need to wait for johns post where he points out that his TBI305 is faster then my TPI350, and then the subsequent post where i remind him that all i have in my engine is headers. |

perhaps you should wait until the engine is actually in the car to talk smack. or is "383" like a nickname you have given your 305
i'm just poking some fun. _________________ 86' firebird (Junked in 2015). 88' GTA (sold in 2020).

Well the 500cid caddy motor in my other burb will blow the pants off your 383! j/k,though it is in the same state as yours apperntly is ! But seriously i am expeting roughly 510 lb.ft of torque at roughly 2300 rpm im picking it up from the macine shop today even!
Heres a crappy pick of the 90 that i want the tpi for,
heres a pic of the 78 which has the 500
And heres a couple comperison shts of 350 parts vs. 500 parts.

ok thanks! And now that you mention it i do remember seeing several completeish TPI setups at local U-pullits around here. I really should just top messing with it though and just step up to the 6.0. _________________ 90 chev suburban 3/4ton 4x4, stock, rebuilt 350 w/TBI,th400, 3.73 gears, 33" pro comp mud terrains. |
