I just received the dubious honor to go on a business trip to help our shop in Dallas. As the norm for our facility, notice is very short, but they did ask if I would go first. Originally, I was to leave tonight but my supervisor laughed at them. Flight leaves tomorrow morning and I return in a week. I'll try not to let the heat get to me and have some fun too Smile

Temp aint that bad down here, its the humidity mixed in with it.

If you have time for a 4 hour side trip to Houston by all means, head on down Very Happy

I don't know a whole lot about Dallas though, only place I've been up there was the cotton bowl for a concert Laughing

I'm finished with the job in Dallas and will be returning home tomorrow (two days early). Benifit for Sunday travel is not just overtime, but doubletime, and that starts when I check out of the hotel and ends when I walk in my front door at home Very Happy

They tell us to check in at the airport 2 hours prior to flight, add travel to airport (not far, but adds up), 4 hour flight, wait fo baggage, wait for transportation, travel to home (airporter takes about 2 hours). Looks like a full day of doing nothing on doubletime added to the approx 17 hours overtime I collected here.

Looks like it's time to order more suspension and chassis parts for the 89 Very Happy

Overall, it was a good trip. Work wasn't difficult, but was in a non-air conditioned warehouse with heat in the 90's all week. Company put me and a co-worker up in a nice hotel (separate rooms), and rented us a nice car. A 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse with less than 1,000 miles on the clock - manufactured in May 2007. Getting to and from work was fun, and so was getting around after work. That is a very nice handling car!!! If I were in the market for a new car, it would be on the list, although it was a bit small for me. With the seat moved back far enough for me to use the pedals, I had to reach for the wheel. Here's a couple of pictures...
