thats right, i want your broken pioneer cd player. i now have TWO not fully working units and i am trying to kitbash somthing together. if it's a newer one i need a working faceplate, and if it's an older one i need a working CD playing module.

thanks if anyone can help.

I am currently on radio only.

a slight improvement from my RCA (from Chris's berli) that the radio only worked 30% of the time, and cd player skipped constantly. Rolling Eyes

The good news is, your old steering wheel still looks and feels schaweet! Razz

and those 6X9s i got with the POS deck still Rock my Socks. when a head unit is actualy able to put sound to them that is Wink

i have the worst luck with CD players. i purchased a pioneer DEH-P650 a few years back NEW and then dropped the faceplate and broke it after my year warante was up. the deck still works. it has HPF/LPF capability, 4 ohm pree-outs and a bunch of other cool shizzle. even had a polyphonic face. it was the shizzle. and if i could find a faceplate from the same time period (anything from like 2002-present) with a flip down face i could use the 650 again. that thing ROCKS ASS.

then a week ago by VW buddy Travis asked a bunch of us "who wants a free CD player?" and he gave me a Pioneer DEH-435. circa 1997. it's faceplate and wire harness are not compatible with the newer stuff, so i decided to yank the RCA and run the 435. it went about a week and the CD player started skipping randomly. Radio is crystal clear though. got to love that pioneer super tuner. Very Happy

so i have been listening to the radio for the first time in a while. found the only station that actually plays music before 10AM. 93.1 EL RAY. Rock on!

Spanish language Music. better then listening to marc honie drone on about stupid BS or Mark and Brian drone on in about slightly less stupid BS. man i hate the radio. Smile

ahhh.. but i know it will never happen. Sad

now the only thing i have to look forward too is when i hit 60,065 posts it will look like it says "boobs" under my screen name. Laughing
