ID as in like car type or gear ratio?
No idea on what model it came out of, but for gear ratio go to tremec.com
You can email them if you don't see your code listed.

If you are looking to buy a tranny, try and get a WC (world class) and not a NWC (non world class).
The WC's I'm told have needle bearings on the gears on the main shaft where NWC's don't. I've heard speculation that the WC's carry more torque, but no one I know of has poven that. And............on the cluster gear bearing the WC's have a different style of bearing. If the cluster bearing goes bad it doesn't damage the cluster. On an NWC the cluster bearing is a roller type and it rides directly on the cluster, and when it goes bad it takes out the cluster.
Go ahead and ask me how I know this little fact about the cluster bearing on an NWC ruining a cluster |

in support your theory of the WC handling more toque then the non-wc.
in 1987 when the L98 hit the fbody the non-wc was said not to be able to handle the 225HP_330TQ that it put down.
in 1992 the LB9 put down 230HP_300TQ through a WC-T5. 5 less HP and 30 less TQ. seems like if the trannys were the same strength they would have been behind L98s (at least the earlier ones).
this is why i think my 1988 L98 is ok infront of my 1991 WC-T5. |

| Relocate the torque arm from the tailhousing to the crossmember. I think it really improves transmission life on the T5 behind a strong engine. |
