So I am thinking of selling my 89 Formula WS6. Some one shot out the drivers side window and the motor knocks. 1989TPI 5.0, 5sp, 9bolt. Almost everything under the hood is new, starter, radiator, alt, bat, newer brakes up front, new struts, and shocks, newer springs in rear, newer flowmaster 80 series muffler, tuned up before motor knock, new clutch, Good interior, power bulge hood, 16inch factory rims really good condition, new kuhmo estacs tires, rough body, aftermarket headlights, cold air intake kit, have 2 15inch rims that go with it, new space saver spare, This car was my daily driver for a year. canadian car. Make me an offer and send message with pic requests or offers. CAr also has t-tops and doesn't leak. All locks work, same keys

You want to sell the thing as a whole or part it out?

Whole, I hate parting with it because it was such a fun car. A set of door and passenger fender and a motor rebuild or swap and you have a fun good daily driver. 1500 Usd?

Ian, you should buy it and part it out yourself. That way you can have two half-complete birds sitting in your driveway. Yup yup

*Edit: BTW, an '89 LB9 with a T-5 and a stock nine bolt would be 3.45. That alone makes the car worth parting out, that is probably the most sought after thirdgen axle... assuming it's posi of cours.e

Holy shat. If I had the cash I'd jump on it in a heart beat.

And aaron, that was my 87 and has been gone for years. I miss it. Sad

Why, the lower the numbers get the sooner these things are worth something.

Speaking of parting stuff out, I bought an old 57 Ford pickup this winter for some sheetmetal that I need for my 58. Yesterday I pulled it apart and got both fenders, hood, grill, and all the door hardware. Also saved the 9" rear end out of it. Hauled it down to the scrappers and got $74 for the carcass. Hell yeah, only paid $100 for it in the first place. Cool

I don't care what mine is worth. I want to see more nice ones on the road.

Part the junkers.

Keep seeing people part out perfect cars!?

They're worth more in pieces than whole Paul. That's the problem with cars that are frequently restored like ours. You end up having to sacrifice quite a few cars in order to get a good one on the road.

I want to see the value of these cars increase to a point that something like Brandon's Formula will be a no brainer to have repaired instead of totaling it out. Very few people have the kind of ability he has to fix it himself and you know that nation wide there are nice IROC's,GTA's, and Formula's going to the scrappers every day because of a couple thousand dollars worth of damage.

I know what the parts are worth. I parted my '85 Iroc out. But it was due to severe body damage, not a bad motor.

It's just a shame to see it parted than mechanically fixed. It's my opinion.

I really don't think these will see the value of even chevelles 10 years ago for a LONG time.
