Just thought I would throw a new pic of some of the new stuff mounted and the engine at least running once again. I just need to tidy some thing on the wiring up a little better.

Nice Zac. Have you taken her out and played a little yet? If so, how does it 'feel'?

Where the car once fell on it's face around 6k it now pulls clean past! I was rolling @ 50 and broke the slicks loose that made me a believer in the new cam lol I am still fighting some carb issues though. Car is running very rich at an idle and I am thinking maybe the out of the box power valve is giving me fits or something. I am shocked at how much it has woken up. The only thing I can compare it to is like having a 100 shot turned on at all times _________________

I bought one of those cheap spectre deal from shucks and took it apart to make it fit what I wanted lol. It worked out ok but I really would look to get one of those billet double spring deals sometime! right now I am looking into getting the right bracket and everything so when I convert to the full cheater kit I will have the right mounting pads and a regulator mount as well instead of on the side of the fender (I think it look kinda cheesy there) always a work in progress haha _________________

That looks awesome. Just a little bit of clutter clean up and it'd look perfect.
What kind of bracketry did you use for the accesory drive? I like how low mounted it is. Even with the electric h2o pump. _________________

I called a company I found over Ebay and explained to them about the bracketry problem that the third gens had with low mounting things and They had some brackets that they said would work. The company was called alterstate if I remember right. Yea I agree I need to route the clutter a little better but I am finding it hard to find places to hide things with all the wires for the nitrous systems and electric fan and water pump. One thing at a time looks good but after you get everything in there it begins to look cluttered. I dont mind to much since I like functionality more then appearance and it functions perfectly fine _________________

I've been meaning to build a bracket to mount the alternator downward on mine. Too many other things taking precidence.
If I was going to suggest one cleanup mod you could do, route the plug wires in a uniform fashion somewhere. Do that and I think you'd be golden. |

Paul,
If you build a bracket, build 2.
Have you tried just flipping your around on the stock bracket paul? |

Haven't tried yet, but I'd really like to ditch the turnbuckle if I can. It looks like I could just rotate it around and use one of the smog pump brackets to latch it to. Might be a hair out of alignment with the turnbuckle, but that's no big deal to take care of. Maybe I'll do that today when I finish the ground wiring for the battery.
Studs and pads on there way. Still waiting on the brackets. Just need to turn the rotors, install wheelbearings! |

I have the wires routed over the covers now but they are to short to move to much. I agree I should look at trying to move them somehow. Im definitly not going to buy another set of those though until they wear out beings that they cost 150 bucks just for the wires lol _________________

You need to get that bad boy running.
We need to figure out a time to get together to slap the new TB and injectors on my car, and get some tuning done.
Still working on a nitrous bottle.... I don't know if I will be spraying on the dyno or not. I might see if I can rent Mikes bottle for a run or 2. |

Come over tonight.
The car runs, I'm just adding a full 1gauge cable from the battery to the engine. I also replaced the stock 4ga cable I was using from the firewall to the starter +.... with a 1ga cable. |

Hehe I also found out that when you turn the battery kill switch off..... the alternator wire is still hot LOL Since it's run from the battery side of the swtich. Nothing else is hot but that. hehe...
