|
|
I don't know all the specifics on this yet. Mom called me from work tonight and said that the oil light on her car came on while at idle on her way to work. It went off when she started moving and came on again as she was pulling into her parking space. She bought the car in March with 100K on a 2.5L V6. She drives it to work 3 times a week less than 20 mile round trip and a little during the week.
I'd like to get some ideas before I start looking too deep into this. I read in a Dodge forum of a similar problem when a sender went bad, but his car stalled out too, Mom's runs fine. Oil and filter were changed less than a month ago along with all the other fluids. Tomorrow I'll look at the oil level and see if there might be a leak.
Thanks,
Al |

| Change the oil pressure sender. 99.9% of the time thats all it will be. If its not then she has big problems. |

| Replace the sender, still had the light on when warm at idle. Had the oil pressure checked and it was fine, about 17lb at idle. Replaced the sender again, this time it seems ok. |
