OOOO OOOO you could get those kits that make your headlights only open half way and then it looks like your car is stoned and falling asleep. and the rice kids will give you props

they are not somthing you "make" so much as somthing you do. to "sleepy eye" your car with pop ups you simply turn the dials until desired effect is reached. on some cars like firebirds you can turn the parking lamps on and gently push the headlight switch just a bit to get the lights to start going up and then stop pushing and they will stay up. 240SXs are like that if you cut the brown wire at the headlight switch. and i am sure there are ways to modify most cars to work this way.
as far as kits go, if they do make them only a fool would buy them as you can do this to your car as equiped. however for that matter anyone willing to spend money sleepy eyeing a car is a fool, so i imagine the kits sell prety well.
i have noticed most drift cars i see form japan (on videos and such) if they have pop-ups are "sleepy eyed". must be all the rage over there. incase anyone does not know what this is:
upon looking at htese photos i realised it kinda makes the car look broken. it also ruins the realy nice "firebird-ish" lines they have. it's kinda rednack if you ask me. |
