I think me! I've owned 9 Camaros of which six were thirdgens. In order:
'82 SC
'83 Z28
'85 Z28 <-- I wish I still had this one!
'91 RS
'84 Z28
'89 RS <-- I still have this one
I've also owned:
'68 SC
'80 SC
'94 SC
So who loves these cars more than me?! _________________ '86 Trans Am - 5.0L TPI - LT1 cam - 700R4 - WS6

Each one has its own story, but here is the short version:
'82 SC - totalled (not my fault)
'80 SC - sold
'83 Z28 - sold
'85 Z28 - sold
'94 SC - sold
'91 RS - blew the engine then parted out
'68 SC - restored it then broke even when I sold it
'84 Z28 - parted and sold
'89 RS - my daily driver |

That car was well on it's way to being a pretty good street bruiser. I liked it.
I've only had two. My 87 and my 91. _________________

I've had three now.
Two breifly ran while in my posession but had major mechanical failures. Tony swears that Black Z/28 hood I just sold was cursed. I don't believe in curses though. I think I just made some poor purchasing decisions...well maybe not the berlinetta...but I haven't really dug into that one yet
1984 SC--- paid $200...spent $500 on troubleshooting and various parts missing only to find it'd dropped a valve
1985 Z/28--paid $625 for it...have been paying out the A$$ in one way or another since
1986 Berlinetta...$50 for it...by far the best investment so far...interior's great, gauges work great, just need to finish the 5 speed swap and fire the motor to see how bad it the blowby on it really is. _________________

I have had seven third gens.
-82 Z28 - my first Camaro back in 2000. Crossfire fuel injection and loaded with options it is the one I wish I had kept. Traded it for my current car.
- 86 IROC- The blue car I have now. Broke down on the way home from the car lot, now I know why they were willing to make me a great deal. Few $'s and a few hours work and I got most of that sorted out in the last 5 years.
- 83 Firebird SE- V6/5spd that I bought off a lot for $185 for all of the 5 spd stuff for my 86. Later found out the V6 stuff us the wrong way to go. While it ran it saw more dirt than pavement. Finally parted it out.
- 82 Camaro SC- A lady I worked with gave this to me to come and remove it from here yard. All I wound up with out of it was a good LG4 wiring harness and the 416 heads.
- 86 Camaro Z28- Made a deal with a guy that wanted the engine and rear end. I parted them out and got to keep the shell. Still have this one since the body is straight. It was a 5 spd car with almost no options.
- 89 Camaro RS- A couple days after Jen wrecked her Accord I made a smoking deal on this car. Fixxed a couple things and she drove it for a year. When I got done I sold it for $2500, I had originally paid $1200.
- 83 Trans Am - Bought this summer from Bartimus for a smoking deal. Instead of parting it out for the rear brake upgrade, Jen took a liking to it and it is currently getting the body work straightenned out.
Apparently if I buy a car for parts things don't go as planned and I end up getting very little I need out of them. |

Yeah, all it needed was paint and wheels! I'm still kicking myself in the ass for letting this one go! _________________ '86 Trans Am - 5.0L TPI - LT1 cam - 700R4 - WS6
