Went on a road trip way up into Washington yesterday and today. Very nice country. Took I-5 up to Hwy 12 and then across to Aberdeen. Then headed 100 miles north up 101 to the town of Forks. Would love to go back when more time for sight seeing is available. unfortunately this trip was all about getting up there, getting loaded, and getting home. 1100 miles and 23 hours driving this weekend in a truck is far from relaxing.
Anybody from around that part of the state? |

| I took part of that route southbound (from Shelton) for the last COWS just to avoid I-5. Beatiful country on that side. That would make a great weekend cruise in either direction (I'd be in for this). Had you the time, if you continued north, U.S. 101 completely circles the Olympic Peninsula and ends up near Olympia. |

I'm In Port Townsend, 3 Hours from Forks. Basically, opposing tip of the peninsula directly east from Forks. Beautiful place, I take my black chev truck there for surfing with the girl.
Beautiful area. _________________
