Sorry i've been away for a while but I've been super busy. So we all know the car was suposed to be done a while ago, BUT... about 3 days away from paint I found out the stress cracks from the front and rear bumper were comming back through. Evil or Very Mad So i went down to Wesco Auto body for some expert advice, they suggested some stuff called bumper stripper to peal off all the old paint and then go from bare plastic. "So this stuff takes off ALL the old paint, but leaves the bumper intact in about 30 min?!" "Yep"

NO
If something sounds too good to be true, it usually is. Needless to say the stuff bubbled my primer and thats about it. So now its has been me with a sanding disc taking off the previous 9 layers of paint, and that is no exageration.

So now that that is almost done, I find the grime and oil on the underside of my hood has been there for so long, previous owner's lack of care, it permiated into the fiberglass and is now soaking up through the hood under my primer. I can't just wipe it off and paint over it though or it will bubble my paint so it is either find a way to get 100% of it out, not likely, or find a new hood, which i don't have the money for. So if anyone knows where I can find another early 80's z28 fiberglass hood PLEASE let me know. So that is where it stands right now.

And I have 2 weeks to get it done before I go back to school so the clock is ticking.
