i see where you are coming from. laying down the law as far as the kids are concerned is one thing. but giving his wife an "allowance" and a bunch of rules might not go over well....
i guess it depends on the woman. i imagine some woman like to be controlled, others (most i would think) would be down right mad if thier husbands treated them like that. |

I dunno...
I know my family loves me, but they have played me for a fool. I may be a fool, but I am not dumb. She does not know that I just found out my son is in Summer school, because of bad grades. She doesn't know that DMV has provided me with her, and his, records; apparently they have a problem with obeying traffic laws.
If this were to happen to me... I'd beat her to divorce court by a mile. He's much better off without her. _________________ "Are you guys ready? Let's roll."

I just read it again and do not see the word "allowance" for his wife it is only for his kids. it says that they will have a house hold "Budget". their is a large differance between those two words. I have a budget and stick too it or I run out of money and not pay a bill and suffer the consiquences for that.(phone shut off, power shut off, kicked out of my apartment ect.) I see what he is saying is that he has let her handel te finances and thinks that she has not done it properly maby too meny credit cards or something and it is now time to get a handel on that.
I think that he has realized that he has spent too much time at the office(dad will be home by 6pm-daily) and now realizes that he needs to spend more time with the family. |

your right, i read that and must have made that leap on my own.
kage brings a good point. his whife is hiding many truths from him. why would she not tell him their son was in summer school? |
