				| Ohh come on guys, its "retro".
Yeah, I think it is kind of ugly to. But I am sure GM will manage to complete screw it up.

				| It's never going to be a thirdgen guys. I think the 4th gens were ugly as sin, and all the late 2nd gens were ugly. I don't like the lights on the 69 maros.... and 80% of thirdgens are fugly. | |

at least it is rear wheel drive. the "intependent rear suspension" isnew, but i think it will be a good thing. as for the looks... if they just dug out the thirdgen tooling it would be a much better looking car. here is what i don't get about this "retro" thing. why not just re-build the 1969 camaro. add some amber turnsignals. put in a modern emmissions passing engine. re-do the interior as much as is needed to pass modern saftey rules and go. i guarantee you it would sell huge. i would want one. but no, instaed they re-badge a cadalack concept car and make that.

				| Baldwin-Motion is also building some awsome crazy-fast cars, they got a bunch of 1st cars, and modified them, with IRS and a bunch of other modern touches. | |

				| You hear alot of people not likeing the new camaro concept. Yet when they see that retro TA drawing on the same platform, probably 75% of the guys say they'd buy it tomorrow. So what will GM do? Not build the TA of course. I do see there's a few insider's pushing for it though.
What is really sad, on almost all the classic chevy boards I go to, theres only a few who say they want the camaro as the concept is. But there's a whole lot who say they'll buy a challenger when it comes out. These are chevy guys, yet they'll buy a dodge before that concept. That is sad.

Nuts. I was hoping they would wuss out like Ford and Dodge did with their "Retro" concepts, and at least tone it down so it wasn't as dorky.

Oh well, not like I'll be dropping 40 grand on one anytime soon though.

				| Now this is truly crazy. On Ebay right now, there are dealerships auctioning off the right to buy a new camaro at list price first. One auction is currently $4500.. just to be first to buy. There's another that was at $20k but ebay pulled the auction. | |

				| Better off to wait a couple years after its release.
After all, look at the 2004 and 2005 GTO. There was a HUGE dealer markup on 2004 GTO's and for the first 6 months or so it sold like crazy, and then sales just plummeted. Then the 2005's came out and everyone who raced out and bought one had to feel dumb. 05's got at LS2, Independent Rear, Ram air hood, and more interior options and they lowerd the base price by $3,000.
