I do think so. I am not sure if OBD1 cars will be testable under that though. I did hear they are getting rid of the "rollers" for testing now. Which means, we could probably get some pretty wild stuff to pass the snifferl, since it will only be tested at 2500rpm.

Hmm... I was watching the news last night, and they said that now that Oregon has these new standards, that Washington, Oregon, and Cali now have the same tough emissions. Anyone heard anything about when they're implementing that?

I've heard 2007 echoed as a date, but not entirely certain.

I know there's been talk of making stuff as early as 1968 Go through DEQ here in oregon. Which I think is rediculous.

Someone clarify, because the newspaper is vauge....

The new standards are for 2007 or 2009 respective cars and newer.... NOT making older cars go through stricter standards?

as far as I understand it , it will only effect 2009 and new model year cars.

Hmm..........I guess that would make sense.

i've seen a lot of 2005/2006 model cars that have tags vaild until 2010. maybe they're moving up to 4 year intervals with newer stuff rather than 2?

I don't know about Oregon, but in this state you don't have to have a test for the first six(?) years of a cars life.
