Guys,

I updated the forum software this morning, in hopes of trying to contain some of the Bot registrations.

We found a bug in the new software, dealing with quotes not working. I have fixed the code, everything should work now.

If you had a post that the quotes did not work in. Just edit the post, and re-submit it. That should fix the quote.

No it works fine now. It only happened to posts that you quoted, between the time that I upgraded the boards software, and the time that I fixed it.

it only occurs when logging in from an ip address i have never logged in from before. i am using firefox if that makes a difference.

I'll have to look at the cookies and such the site is creating. I may not have a quick answer for you on this one.

When I lost my cookie (hehe) and had to log in again it made me go through it twice. As far as I know, this site has always done that - could be my own personal problem.

Dewey - make sure the cookies are properly configured in the admin panel. I've had this problem on two other phpbb boards I admin, and they had to do with misconfiguration (wrong cookie path or domain).

Mangus, thanks for the idea.

I spent some time working on this, this morning. I think it is now working. I cleared all my cookies, and it only asked me to sign in once. If anyone else has login problems, please let me know.

i got a good one. my main PC can no longer log in at all. my laptop however can log in. on the first try. both running firefox and XP. i'll try later with them both using RHEL4 and firefox
