So I got the USB Burn1 from Moates. WOW works great, and no messy cords. Love it. Burn chips super fast and don't need an inverter or to get out of the car.

Anways, got the Jimmy running... say 80% from where I feel it should be.
Had the FP cranked as high as it would go. I think my spring is crazy because I had to turn the constant down like I had 5.7L injectors.

Anyhow. Went to drive to school yesterday. Started great, idled fine. Backed out of the driveway, put in gear... fell on it's face. 20:1. Idled again fine, etc, fell on it's face.

Checked pressure today... Idle is 30psi! WOW for TBI. Rev it, drops to 20psi. Doh!

I don't remember how to check the regulator, but it bleeds off pretty quick. Does hold PSI at idle just fine though.

I vice gripped the return line, cranked it... spikes to 70psi while cranking, stop cranking it drops pretty quick to 40psi then slowly drops to 30psi then holds there okay but still slowely drops. Say.... 20seconds from 40-30... and it'd be a few minutes at the rate from 30 and lower before it'd hit zero.

Looks like the old TPI pump sucked ass too. Or something came off in the tank? Either way, guess it needs to come back out.

I'm ready to sell this damn thing once I get it running well enough. Doesn't have nearly the power I'd hoped, and it has NOTHING under 2000rpm.

Anyway, how do I check the regulator? Besides what I did?

if its a factory reg there is nothing else you can do other than checking the pressure, but it should hold psi with no variation on the needle of the pressure gauge during idle if there is you got a leaky injector and when the engine is shut off it should drop a lil to equelize the system but shouldn't drop to zero after a few of minutes. and another thing you gotta have the gas cap tight too efi gas tanks are presurized, if it still zero's out you have a bad check valve in your pump.

You want to restrict the return line and see if the pressure still drops off like it did. If the pressure drops with the return line restricted your pump isnt putting out enough volume. If it stays high then the regulator is the problem.

Was the regulator. Weird... when I turned the pressure up it must have clogged something or fubared it to get 30psi.

It's good at 16psi now as high as it will go.

Still can't get it tuned right. It's nuts. Really need to go c950 or Carb... but I don't know if I wanna put more money into it, if it's just going to be a trade in.
