What mods are you testing?
What were your numbers from last year (if you went)
Looks like I may fix my Camaro's carb and dyno the blow-bying motor and use my last AAA tow-fer-free thing, or will just bring my truck again. The truck last year with nothing but a tune-up made 94hp and 125ft/lbs.
The truck would be "boasting" some "mods" since last year. Full synthetic lubricants motor, trans, rear, new "Stage 3" dual friction Competition clutch. Hoping to free up 5 ponies, that would be shibby. |

Well,
We, the family want to go.
But the car is wrecked.
Took a close look at it today.
No major structural damage, except front window post.
Cracked up wind shield that side.
Looks like crap, but still runs and drives great.
Iam gona have to talk with my son to see if he still wants to go.
my be a hit to his pride with all the nice cars that will be there.
He got his new intake, stealth ram, but its going to wait, for sure.
Put new front calipers on also today.
looking for another car, kind of want to stick with tpi, but I guess we could do a swap with the early models 83, 84, 85,
lg4, lb9,
Cross fire, computer controlled carb, or what ever.
I guess its just the wiring harness that we would have to change out.
But I would like to keep his shell for myself and build my own.
Don't think the wife will like that.
lol.

Hey, I'll be bringing my 1986 Toyota Pickup, it IS a pile, I would rather drive a broken to bits camaro than it!
Tell your son that the same engine you dyno will go into his new shell so he'll still know what HP/TQ his new car will make when he gets it. I know I'm curious about your guys' setup Espescially if you can get that Stealth Ram in there before dyno! |

That's true.
Stealth will not be on there.
I would like to dyno it just as we built it now to see how we did.
I was shooting for 300 rwhp
Might be close. Maybe 280/290 rwhp.
I hope.
It sure feels like it anyway.
Man I haven't even done the first oil change.

| So far so good. I'd like to get the headers on but I don't know about the exhaust. Started tack'ing some pipe together to practice but can't get it down. |

I'll be testing the heads.
Scott, even if the f-body isn't road worthy, you and the family should still come down. It would be great to meet you, and I am sure you and your son would have fun just hanging out and watching the dyno runs. |

Can always use exhaust clamps until you feel worthy of welding on your car? |

I plan on being there... Dyno Day number 5! This will be the first time that I don't dyno my car though. I haven't done anything to her since the last dyno.
Numbers last time were:
Uncorrected - n/a=373hp / 384 ft lbs n2o=483hp / 572 ft lbs
Standard Correction - n/a 374 hp / 386 ft lbs n2o=485hp / 575 ft lbs
all rear wheel of course.
Looking forward to meeting all of you newbies this year. Gatherings are where the relationships really solidify.
Cheers!

Trouble is I need the reducers welded to the piping and some bends done. LTs straight back into a Y at the back of the tranny. |

Well, dash swap is done, AC to standard Heater is done.....sold both my power window motors and converted to crank windows. I decided to just get a new driver door since mine was wrinkled so bad, so I have to put the new door on, get the passenger side window and crank back in. The car will fire now but I can't seem to keep it running......tried messing with the idle settings, but its no good.. anyone know who can rebuild or sell me a remanfactured Carborator for a 2.8L V6?.........I think I"m just gonna cave and take it to a mechanic....
The good news is got my E-brake sensor working again....I musta missed a plug or shorted something when I pulled the PW and PL switches Cuz I don't have my dome light or courtesy lights inside anymore...
I still have 25 days to dyno day.....think I'll make it?
If not the 4th gen is coming in its place. _________________
