I just want to say Thanks
For all the past help (future help as well) on getting this car running and driving.
My son started driving yesterday, licensed and insured. He is in 7th heaven. (so am I )
no codes for two days, wow, I can't believe it.
Runs good and strong. ( But I am sure somthing will come up.)
Minor stuff to square away under the hood, to go yet.
The very minute, the car was ready to drive, My wife's 97 thunderbird lx 3.8 liter, tranny took a dump, (its in the shop) what can I say, its a FORD.
lol.
I guess my own z28/iroc will have to wait a few weeks.
After driving the kids car I have to have one.
See ya all at the Dyno.
thanks

Glad you got her goin' good man. You'll get more tuning info on the dyno too!
If you run the car, you'll get an air fuel ratio read out for the pull. And be able to tune accordingly! I rented a dyno for an hour and got 25horsepower just out of tuning alone! |

Wow,
That's crazy, 25hp. man.
I have all the 2.5 exhaust on, all clamped up where I made a few cuts to get it of, By then hopefully we will have 3.5 single to dual out.
Haven't decided if we want to go 3.5 all the way. + cut out
What do you think?
Also doing the MSD 6al and the coil you recommended.
But Christmas is coming, got to stop spending money until after Christmas, its gona be tough to do that. |

If you're doing anything exhaust.... Headers first. Then a 3" Y-pipe. If you get a 3.5" catback, you'll need to splice in a 3.5" collector to the Y.
Sometimes it's better if you get the catback, bolt it up; get the headers, bolt em on... then have an exhaust shop build the Y pipe out of 3" into the proper size collector.
6AL and Jacobs will rock your ignition!
I hear ya about the spending! Christmas is coming and I've got tuition due in a week! |

Like I said, I've got an electric 3.5" cutout + cutout tubing just sitting in my garage with your name on it. Come on, you know you want it. |

Hey that's the number one thing on his list, (I didn't see that before)
is it new?
what brand and part number?
How much?
PM me with the info. or e-mail me. ttalkers@aol.com
Ya its awesome to see him driving this thing, its been like a carrot in front of his face for over a year now.
It was a basket case when we towed it home from Vancouver, WA
.
Needs interior, and suspensions work.
As far as the headers I put the elite headman shorty headers on, they are pretty good.
I have a few other questions regarding DYI Prom burning, maybe late this week.
thanks
