Sorry to keep post here, it seems I am a big pain in your, you know what.
Hope you don't mind.
I ordered all my cables and adapters for the lap top today from moates.
should be here next week.
Injectors, I was wondering if the ford injectors are rated the same way as the stock injectors in my 87 z28.
When I stick a long screw driver on the injectors, then the other end to my ear, two injectors are a lot different from the rest. What do you think ??
Iam looking at 24lb injectors, I have 19lb in the 350 right now. I have been looking at e-bay
What are SVO injectors? Ford racing injectors???
whats four hole injectors? Better?
there is a few there, also looking at the 22lb injectors but want to make sure I have enough fuel for the 350, bigger valves, ported, lt4 hot cam.
I set the iac and it still surges, bad. I stet tps as well .550 volts, wide open its 4.5 volts.
I disconnected the iac and it didn't make a difference, still surging.
Could it be surging vacuum because of the cam ?? Or some kind of timing think because of the cam?
Has anyone here used the lt4 hot cam??
I believe I have .492/492 with the 1.5 roller rockers.
All the vacuum line are plugged in, or plugged.
Came up with a error code 13, then once 32 with a 42.
thanks

Had a surge problem in my 92 350 stock. Ended up being EGR solinoid or EGR Valve. I replaced them both and that cleared it up. _________________ kurfbird

SVO injectors are rated a slightly lower pressure, than the GM version. Basicly, yes they are interchangeable, but a 22lbs SVO is probably closer to a 24lbs GM version.
Not sure exactly what size you will need for your combo, the HP the motor makes will be the real factor that will descide how big you need to go. I would think that you might want slightly larger than those, but I could be wrong. |

22lbers should be enough. You may have to bump the pressure a hair.
If you are buying new get some 24lb SVOs. They are like a 26ishlb GM piece.
4 hole injectors spray out better IMHO. Pintle cap style don't seem to atomize quite as well and can clog easier from what I understand. |

I found a connector that is not hooked up. I searched e-bay and found it, I think.
this it what it looks like
# 8006769601
TPI TBI Camaro Wiring Harness EGR Connector
Its in the back of the motor, where does this thing hook up???
this could be my EGR problem.
I do not have the little temp switch hooked up to the egr, but I didn't know about this other loose pig tail, I don't know where it goes.
can you tell me ???
thanks

I took another look at the egr, solenoid, the electrical connection is plugged in.
It is a black wire with purple strip. and a solid gray
So I have no idea where this other wire goes?
The connector looks the same as above but its a white w black stripe and a black wire, it has one of those weather proof green things on the end.
Also I believe I have the egr temp wire hooked to the o2 sensor.
Its a black wire but turns green after the little connector.
So That mean I am missing the o2 wire. Man....I seem to be having are hard time with this thing.
so where would the O2 wire be? Maybe it got ripped out.
Man I need help.
When I disconnect the iac it still surges at ideal.
But when I disconnect the little timing wire on the fire wall it smoothes out good. |
