| There's been a huge rash of fake ebay ad's recently. People are blatantly stealing old ads and reposting them. On both the chevelle and pontiac boards I go to, there's been several of these ad's caught by the people who originally sold the car/item and know the current lister isnt the new owner. On the truck board a guy bought a watch off ebay $1149.00. Was in a hurry and sent 2 money orders right away for it.. then discovered that it was one of these reposted ads and the guy was a scammer. Filed with the post office to stop delivery of the money orders. Something to think about... theres no way to stop payment on a money order. The guy got lucky and the post office was able to retrieve his payment before the scammer got it. |
