Hey guys, thought I'd stop by and say hi to all those guys I haven't talked to in a while. Hope all is well in the big PNW! We are only a few short months away from being done with our 1yr Hawaiian vacation, haha, and it looks like Sarah and I will be staying on for a while longer. She was offered a full time gig on the island of Maui starting in May.

I'm glad to see there are still lots of fun projects going on. I will actually be back in town for about a week in May for Sarah's graduation if you want to get together and grab some brews.I'll post up dates once we buy our tickets.

Now the big Question... If we are staying in Maui for a few years, do I ship Betty and rock the Hawaiian islands like they've never known before, or do I save the rust and buy a fun little convertible and rock the sun rays on my newly forming bald spot.
-Jake

JAKE!!

Great to hear from you buddy. Keep us in the loop for sure, I could use a drive north, even if it's just for a bite to eat.

Bring the Camaro, my GTA is of Hawaiian origin and it is mostly rust-free. Cool

Buy a small vert, and enjoy the sun. Keep Betty in good shape, and give yourself a reason to come back to the PNW!

Good to hear from you man, seeing your hiking pictures from the island on facebook is always awesome!

Congratulations! You'll be an island native before too long. Razz

Honestly, if I knew it was going to be more than a year or two I would bring the car over. If you still think it'll be temporary, just buy a nice Miata or something while you're there and look forward to being back in the good old PNW.

When I was on the big island a while ago there was some Bad @ss cars there but you only see them once in a blue moon. Have you seen third gen's there? I didn't see a single one while I was there on vacation.

Zach- you are right, there are quite a few high end badass cars here, ferrari's GTR's, a few lambos. But the flip side is a TON of ghetto import kids. To be honest i was almost over my 3rd gen withdrawals, I think i've seen maybe 3 since being here and they were all thrashed. But it was just last week when i saw this badass black Iroc rumble past me and i was instantly reminded how much i miss driving my car.

Gabe- I was considering getting a little miata since they are actually a ton of fun to drive around. Not sure if any of you have driven one but they are a kick in the pants. But after seeing that black Iroc and seeing all of your car projects i don't know if i could go another year or more without it. Especially knowing that it is just sitting under a car port gathering dust.

Tony- I would love to hang out for an evening of brews and fun. Besides it'll be an excuse to pull Betty out of the car port and show off the new motor goodies.

Dew- There is definitely no shortage of sun, and i've been practicing my surfing too!

HAHA, dude Aaron, that turtle was just chillin there. There were probably at least 8 kids swimming right over head diving down to see it and getting in its face. It was so chill it did't even phase it!

I've been doing a lot of hiking lately too. The trails here can get pretty extreme and razor thin, the one in the picture had me on a trail about a foot and a half wide with a 2000 ft cliff on one side and about a 500ft drop on the other. It was pretty nuts. But its the way i've been getting my adrenaline kick lately. haha

Man, it would be great to see you in May! I would bring Betty over there. Show the natives how it's done! Wink
