| My poor camaro getting no love cause of truck. For truck I will need to do glow plugs and suspension. for Camaro I suppose i will get heads cleaned and worked if they haven't been sitting to long. And then hopefully during winter I will take out motor and give it a little bit more power. Truck is basically stereo and seats after I get before mentioned items taken care of. I may do black rims also |

| So wierd, but totally related issue. Hopefully somebody knows the answer. So as discussed before, I need to check glow plugs because of the no start when colder. But also, what I have noticed is that when it doesn't start even after it does start, my heater fan won't turn on for a while. Probably takes 20 min of driving. Any ideas? |

Sticky relay?
Actually both of those problems could be caused by relay failure. |

The truck in question is a '99. Last really good year for the SD.
In my experience the new Duty's break and break expensively. All Duras break, usually in the front end or fuel system as was already mentioned. Also they get worse economy than any other diesel made over the past three decades.
The biggest problem I have with the Duramax is the stigma that goes along with it. Every time you see one it's some halfway retired old dude towing his boat, or an engineer who wants to look cool in front of the crew, or some foreman. Truthfully I can only recall one guy I have ever seen who actually put his Dura to work. |

| Well fixed blower motor kindof. Tapped it with a rubber mallet and it came on. |
