I think the 2.8's have a stand alone fan switch in the RR head?? Where the 3.1 runs off the ETC and ECM.

But I think the engines not getting warm enough to trigger the fan.

That was my guess, when the aldl is jumped it turns on I just need to fix the connector and hope for the best lol how much do I have to disassemble to get to the tstat?

Depends on what tools you have. IIRC a swivel is needed. You can get the t-stat out w/o removing the TB. Its tricky, but can be done.

Its also been 5+ years since I have owned one.

there is a stand alone fan switch, it is on the rear of the passenger side head, it has a funny connector. the sensor for the gauge is behind/under the A/C pump on the front of the drivers side head, unless you do not have A/C.

Hmm the burnt pigtail is in the back, didn't notice anything in the front but ill have to pick through it when I get a chace and post back with results the one in the intake is the cts right?

CTS or cold-start trigger depending on the type of connector.
