Personal question: Is a stock dual snorkel with the base cut and clean filters good enough for a higher-revving-than-TPI StealthRam? Razz

Depends.

Go WOT and see if you pull vacuum. If you do, it's a restriction.

My engine was restricted. Hense the 3.5" aluminum sewer pipe and giant cone filter. :_)

Does a truck hat fit on your TB? My 97 tahoe is a vortec and the intake is fairly large. The clip setup they use is pretty wierd.

Just found an interesting tidbit about K&N filter media. It flows 6cfm per cubic inch of media(including folds) So all you need to do is measure those 2 little square filters and figure their area then x6.. thats how much air those will flow.

I dont think the fliters are the restriction, its that hump over the radiator.

Correct. Filters are like 6"x6" each. Across the radiator and into the snorkel it chokes down a lot. Then the snorkel gets wider on the other end... Rolling Eyes
