Of the comp cams grinds, I always liked the specs on 08-501-8. Problem is, the .495 lift on the exaust, that is going to require the valve guides cut down.

I'm running that cam right now in my 305 TPI and couldn't be happier with it.

Alrighty. I'm on the hunt lol.

Never dyno'd my beasty, so no idea where i'm sitting power wise, would've been nice to get a before and after. Who knows, might make it to a dyno at some point before I get around to a cam lol

Ive got an lt1 cam sitting in the 350 currently collecting dust in my garage lol life took a new turn and legal fees have eaten my entire motor fund, its all together but i wanna put it into action and see what im dealing with lol luke we gotta take a day and just tinker with it, maybe paul can give us a few pointers because im copying your tune to get by remember? lol and if i just dropped this much money and barely break 200 im gonna have some issues lol

Whiskey chick remember to get the one with the short dowel pin, thats pretty big, i guess there were 2 styles, one short one long, the long one apparently shreds your timing cover, but it can be shaved down i got my short dowel one off TGO for like 10$ shipped to my door, theyre cheap and ive heard good things but the "only if its cheap" thing istrue, 10$ for the payoff is worth it to me, if i had to pay more id just get an aftermarket cam

You can take the dowel out of the old cam if that's the case.

Alot of people don't realize you can hammer the dowels in more.

I'd love to give you guys a hand with tuning. I'm a little rusty with the GM stuff, but the actual tuning bit is easy.

Easier with a WB!

Lukes got his WB hooked up, and since the only variable in our motors is the cam i should be good, trial and error is a fun process lol and with a good solid base i can tinker around and see what i can break lol I dont forsee a wideband in my car for atleast a few months and thats assuming my other financial obligations slide by smoothly

We can give it a shot. As long as we keep you on the rich side of the narrow band, you're not likely to hurt anything.

Same cylinder heads? Same Intake? Cam makes a HUGE difference in tuning.
