So since my digi dash came in the mail today I am trying to see if I really need to install the temp sending unit they supplied "s8013", or if the stock one is that far off.
trying to find the ohm range unit "s8013", as well the stock gm one?? _________________ 2008 GMC Z71

slightly old, but im that bored and i just came across this, if i remember correctly the best way to do this is to measure each sensor cold, note the ohm load, then boil some water and measure the temp with a thermometer, stick them in and measure the ohm load
This just popped into my head when i read the post, i had to do this when i was taking electrical it may work it may not, but its worth a shot, are you jsut trying to see if the digidash one is the same as a stock gm sensor? _________________ If you expect a kick to the balls and get a slap to the face its still a victory

| If you're doing that type of test you can't just measure it "cold" you need to throw it in some ice water or something. Minimum read on the GM unit is -24F IIRC. |
