Big thanks to all of you, for your encouragement, spare parts, and advice. Talk about a sense of accomplishment. This was not only my first motor swap, but also my first big solo wiring project, and transmission conversion. There are still a lot of small loose ends that I need to wrap up before I can call it complete but the fact that I can haul a$$ around town in it. I'm good for now.

I have friday off, and i'll try and spend it cleaning up the loose ends, vacuum hoses, looming the harness, and WASHING it. The car looks like total crap since i haven't moved it in almost 5 months. HAHA Then i'll snap some finished piktars.
Thanks again for the compliments, talk about a great feeling to have this thing running so strong. It still surges a bit at lower rpm and doesn't feel like it has any torque below 2200k. is that normal for lt1's? I know they were designed for upper rpm power but this thing is a total dog till the revs come up, then it will break the tires loose around 30 mph.

What gears do you have in the back jake? It should have plenty of torque since they have the first to 4th gear skip shift feature in the 4th gens.... _________________ A redline a day keeps the carbon away! |

I have a 3.27 posi 9bolt rear. I know with the t56 i should have higher gears but i don't think that is my problem with the rough running.
I'm no expert but tell me what is wrong with this picture....
I've got a new set on now and this thing idles around like a champ.

Yeah I'm pretty impressed at this thing. I went back and measured the tire marks, 2 giant S shaped tire streaks 112 feet long, then another stretch when I shifted into 2nd.
I'm glad I didn't listen to the local haters who said I shouldn't swap the lt1.
