I'm supposed to show my Mother's boat to some people on Sunday. If they bite, I might be flying down and driving this thing back up. Road triiiiiiip! The new boat has tons of junk I have no idea what it is/does. But it does have an LSx!

| On a serious note I would be very nervous about buying anything owned by someone who thought that putting car tires, especially low-profile car tires, on a trailer is a good idea. |

Boat bling. It's a tournament boat so it had to be flashy. _________________

Nothing wrong with car tires if they have decent load ratings. Plus a boat isn't nearly like a working trailer. _________________ A redline a day keeps the carbon away! |

| People tend to drive trailers over curbs, ride the road shoulder where sharp things lay, and drive over other things they don't normally drive over with the car. That's why it's always good to have a tough tire. |

Personally, I don't feel any more effort goes into a "trailer" tire, than any other. Want a duable tire, get an offroad tread with great sidewalls. _________________ A redline a day keeps the carbon away! |

Wow, your mom / family must really be into wake boarding. Thats a lot of dough for a single use type of boat.
If you do the road trip you will have a blast. I wish Lisa and I had more time when we picked ours up. Couple of things I would recomend before leaving for home -
Make sure you have a good spare tire, jack that fits under the spring perch and lug wrench.
Take the roll bar off and have it shrink wrapped. Make sure the wrap is under the boat. The rocks, bugs, rain and maybe snow will trash it if it isnt covered.
Check the brake fluid on the trailer every time you stop for fuel.
Pull the prop off before heading for home. They are easy to steal, as is anything not under the shrink wrap.
What would you use to pull it home? |

| The main thing I see in ad is the ballast tanks. It's set up for making giant wakes for wakeboards. I have heard that insurance is hard to find for boats that have ballast tanks? We met a couple on Lake Kachess a couple weeks ago and they were talking about this exact same subject. Guess insurance companies frown on boats that can pump IN hundreds of gallons of water. |

Man, before spending that kind of money on a mass produced chopper gun / bass boat metalic gel job I would be looking for something along the lines of this -
http://mohave.craigslist.org/bod/3236359210.html
12 people riding in comfort, large wake at less than 20 MPH and decent fuel economy with reliability. Not to mention 65 - 70 MPH top speed. |

| Funny thing is, she doesn't wakeboard. She skies. But evidentally they've changed the design of the hull on this 2012 to flatten out more at skier speeds (~30mph). The boat she has now is an '04 with 400hours on it. I go wakeboarding at least once, if not two or three times a week.

I'm sure I'll have fun! I need a mini vacation and I have a couple weeks saved up. I've thought about taking her Denali down there but it'd be SO much easier to just fly down and rent a truck. I had planned to have the whole boat shrink wrapped. Yeah, the prop is mighty pricey.

The '04 Malibu she has now has three tanks and insurance is actually quoted cheaper on this new one for some reason. Our current has the three pumps for each ballast tank and two separate bilge pumps both wired to a safety switch in the hull. My mother forgot the plug once and it started spewing water out the drain holes in the side of the hull. Whoops.

The wake would be large on that, but it'd be white-capped and hard to board on. And I bet the wake for a skier would be downright treacherous! Single use boat is perfect for us. It never sees salt water and we hardly go just cruising around. It's always early and just to board. _________________

Sounds like thats the right boat for your use.
It looks really clean, as it should since it's basicly new. |

Nope, couldn't unload the current boat. Which is kind of to be expected since it's the end of the season. _________________
