Cast-iron turbo? All I've ever seen were aluminum or chromed (maybe cast-iron underneath?) _________________

Well, it wouldn't be fair to stop with him because I'm not "quick" either. |

Hell, I never even had a turbo in any of my cars...started out 10 years ago when I had a pipe dream of installing one in the 98 Camaro I had and we see where that went...lol! _________________

I drive a Ford and a not-Ford. And I collect turbochargers and aircon delete boxes. |

You know it's true though because you can do the math.
Speaking of below average, I've been hanging out at a F150 forum recently and I've noticed as a whole that group is waaaaaay less knowledgeable about car stuff (and technical stuff in general) than the F250 crowd I used to hang with when I had my Superduty. I guess it's a reminder that to many people the F150 is just a glorified car and I might as well be hanging out at a Ford Taurus forum. I swear within a week there will be a post like, "Truck is telling me to change oil. What do I do?" |

Ha! Is this the Ford Truck Enthusiast forum? Those guys are idiots.
Hell, last night I posted on TGO again. That's how much of a masochist I am. I should log in real quick and see if I've been put on probation yet!
BTW, in their defense, the F-150 is a car. The word "truck" doesn't start til around the heavy 3/4 ton mark. Hell, according to your friendly Uncle the PT Cruiser is a f***ing half-ton truck. |

Dang. You got that one closed quick.

I have to admit that was pretty funny....
The first is that on your build thread there is no build. You bought a car and washed it, and then bought and engine. That's not a build, that's what you get done on Saturday before lunch. |

I joined FTE when I first bought the Mercury many moons ago because the guys that hang out on the FE forum there are fairly knowledgeable. When I bought my ill-fated F-150 I jumped over to the box-nose forum and found a whole world of idiots.
There was a thread on whether or not it was a good idea to release the emergency brake quickly that went on for several pages! I had a guy vehemently argue with me after I told him I thought it was a bad idea to route all his aftermarket accessory wiring directly to the battery posts instead of using a junction block.

I use underscores because in my youth I hand-wrote HTML and I got tired of typing out the codes for space all the time. |

That's okay, B. I got the Cascade Crew drunks and my turbochargers to keep me company. |
