So what's the deal with these things? Every V8 T5 I've come acrossed is priced $400 and up, which is way too much for me. Anybody have ideas on where I can find one for $150 or less?

Unless you find one with broken internals, or someone who took over an estate with a ton of car junk, what you're asking for is not likely to happen.

Man I'm hoping to find a good one for under 600 right now, honestly a rebuild is the most reasonably priced option at this point

At my local LKQ, manual transmissions are $135 + core.

LKQ is a junkyard chain in the PDX area.

Most junkyards have pretty cheap manual transmissions if you get in there before they are gone.

Yup yup this is usually the case with the V8 T-5's.

That being said, I do have a NWC T-5 I'd be willing to part with for $400.
