Hey guys, its been a while since i posted here, hope your all doin well. I just pulled my 91 LO3 out of storage, and cruised it over the weekend. I fired her up and she ran fine. I ran the car pretty hard (its been 5 months since i dropped the hammer).
today i went out to warm up the car, and after a couple minutes i went to go for a cruise, normally the revs sit at 1500 and then after she warms up and i rev the engine once the revs drop to 800-900rpm. Today the revs refused to drop below 1500 even after the motor was warmed up. In neuteral the motor now idles at 1500.
i pulled my open element air cleaner, and checked for vaccum leaks and could find none. i am going to check out my TPS but was wondering if this could be a coolant temp sensor issue. If anyone has any ideas or run into this problem themselves id love to hear em. thx

If CTS craps out it will be running way rich.

Clean the IAC then do the normal minimum air and TPS adjustment.

My '91 L03 used to do the same thing. Cleaning the IAC seemed to fix the problem. Cool

So i took my car down to my buddys shop, it was running real rich on the way there, we hooked a scan tool up to it, no codes but the coolant temp was reading at 35 degrees. swapped the coolant temp sensor, fixed the high idle. runs even better than before.
