| I think its located on the pass side. And that you dont have to pull it. |

Actually.. i'm confused by your terms. kickdown and servo dont go together.
The servo for the band is on the side like everyone is saying. You can change it easily.
The corvette kickdown valve (tv valve sleeve, its the part that keeps the trans from kicking down into 3d at wot) and the corvette boost valves are on the inside of the trans. They're fairly easy to change as well, once the pan is off. I cant remember if the valve body has to be dropped or not, but thats still not difficult. |

Ive not heard of the kickdown valve.
Boost valve is the other item I was trying to think about quietly. Ive read its not that hard to change either.
That being said, I have never changed either. |

It's not really called a kickdown valve. But that is its function. Has a groove in it that dumps fluid when the throttle hits a certain point. That is what makes an fbody trans shift down to 3d wot, but not a vette. The groove is different on the vette tv sleeve.
The servo is just a piston that applies pressure to the band. The vette servo has a bigger piston = more surface area = more pressure on the band.
The boost valves up the hydraulic pressures. Higher pressures = more clutch friction of course. |
