I say he should go for one final hurrah. Mike is getting complacent up on his high-HP highchair. The young punk crew members are getting older, getting real jobs and starting to build. He needs to set a good high bar so he can sit around and drink while we all race to cobble sh*t together. Razz

Hey at least it'll be a red trans am that de-thrones him. Laughing

LOL you guys are funny. I think Zac is the fast one.

I have been waiting for several years though. 'One final hurrah' sounds like I am done or something. Who is going to put up the big numbers this year... Aaron? Ian? Boosted Mazda?.... the tutu is dusty boys but we can clean it up for a proper bet here Smile

Oh I'm just running my mouth this year, I'm not even sure the car will be running/sorted out by then. I'm a bit slow on big stuff like this. Smile

I will try to run my car, but I don't expect any real impressive numbers. Might have to run the wife's high-brow Honda though.
Can't wait for this year.

I can't run the project car on Steve's dyno, and no use running the camaro (which has started whining in 5th, so I think I need to at least change the trans fluid) so, if Zee German Girl is running, I may just be that guy, and drive it to dyno to show off, and have a really good excuse to not dyno.

cool John. I hope she is all dialed in by then. You will have to bring Layla though.

You were asking about FWD... I assume Mrs Jim's fancy Honda with an 'A' would be FWD

John, you just need to go get yourself a monogrammed dress shirt and a bluetooth earpiece and you'll be good to go with that Audi. Wink

Laughing If I knew for sure my junk would be running, I'd be down for some bets. Maybe as it gets closer. I still have to get my hot-side all finish welded.

Can't we just yank the rear halfshafts? Very Happy

I've been thinking about dropping a welded center and pulling my front stub shafts to dyno my Subaru... Razz But the Camaro will be ready to go by then.

What are you doing to the Camaro Gabe? Your combo has actually been one of the most impressive in the last several years. You have done real good with that setup.

One of the kids that works at Grease Monkey here in Bothell (used to be right next door to my work) picked up a turbo'd 2.5RS that has the front shafts yanked with the block off plates and runs a welded rear diff. Pretty cool seeing a RWD scoobaru.

Thanks for the props! I've been consistently surprised how well the 624 casting stock truck heads have done with the rest of my parts. So this year, I've got a set of RHS Pro Action 200cc aluminum heads and a set of Scorpion Endurance 1.6 roller rockers going on. Hopefully getting rid of the last weak link in my setup will make a big difference. Very Happy I'm also going to end up moving from a roughly 9:1CR up to about a 10.5CR.

Ha! Not yet! Grease Monkey and Safeway both left and now it's a ghost town down here. Both buildings are vacant until construction starts. I think people have forgotton I'm down here. Laughing

Cool Gabe. It took several iterations to get my combo up to what it should have been doing. Part of that was a bump in compression. The performance with the truck heads was impressive but those mods should take you to the next level. You have the combo all tuned in now?

Nope, Torsen center diff, I would have to weld the worm gears and spider gears.
