I think I have it figured out. There is nothing wrong. The continuity check between Fusible Links and C100 F4 was back feeding through grounds.

C100 F4 is connected to ground through GAGE fuse. If a ground can be established on the Fusible Link circuit then the multi-meter is going to see continuity. The door switch happened to be the ground. I can replicate the same behavior with headlight switch, or brake light because it is on the same fusible link circuit as the door switch.

Izcain, I never would have figured this out without those schematics. Thank you! Now to put my dash back together again and repair a broken wire. Beat the dead horse some more why don't ya

Oh, hell no! Laughing

In fact, I was using a jumper pack with a power switch so I could control everything. I was as nervous as could be the first time I threw that switch! Shocked Very Happy

My driver side headlight won't move. Both headlights turn on, but the driver side doesn't budge. I swapped the outputs at the headlight control module and the problem switched sides, so I know the motor works on the driver side. Both the RED power inputs to the control module are hot so I've got power to both motor switches.

Is it pretty much down to a bad circuit board? I took it apart and all the solders look solid. Otherwise I'm pretty much clueless what I'm looking at on that board.

Why does everything get solved as soon as I ask a question? I sanded the electrical terminals and, Viola! Everything works. Thumbs up

Now I need to figure out why my HVAC fan never shuts off. It just idles along really slow when the switch is in the off position. Laughing

Izcain, can you give me a schematic of blower controls for '89 Firebird with air conditioning?

The fan wiring is fine. Turns out the HVAC selector switch isn't correct. That part was a pain in the ass to find and it was the wrong one to boot. I might call Hawks and get this done with.

Another moment of truth.... I bled the brakes and had my wife stand on the brake pedal. No leaks!!! AWESOME! Thumbs up

Regarding the HVAC switch, I'm taking the "spray fire" approach. I just bought a bunch of different ones today, new and used, and one of them has to work. And the headlight module is being flaky again. I'm getting a refurbished one from Top Down Solutions. A new one is $500! Shocked That makes the $80 for used seem somewhat reasonable, as sad as that sounds.

After poking at things tonight it looks like all my chassis wiring is good. Just need to replace a switch for HVAC and the headlight door module.

Next step is to power up the underhood fuse box, which frankly is about 50% of the wiring in the car and is 100% my creation.... so, ya I'm a bit nervous. Laughing
