Hard to take pics. Basically it is delaminating from structure underneath in spots causing it to have high ' bubbles'

Well upon closer inspection it looks as if I need to either screw down the locations or findbthe glue and figure out how to get it where I needs to go. Seems as if I may have got hustled on the Hood.

And I appreciate the ideas. I have called around to inquire about having it spot welded. But unfortunately the shops don't take my ravishing good looks or beer for payment

You could drill holes in it and have some one fill the holes with a wire feed. Might need to back the holes with sheet metal. There would be some repiar to smooth it out but should hold up.

Aren't some auto body shops using epoxies to assemble body panels? I know there are some pretty strong epoxies out there to bond metals together.

Thats just what I need to find. It has some factory glue it looks like , bit it has come undone. Biggest challenge will be actually trying to get epoxy in right place

Yes, and that glue is by 3m.

Ive never heard the term "delamitating" in reference to steel.

But welding would be best. After its pouned back in place.

Common term in the welding world.

Not a term I associated with welding either. Does it mean the same as in layers seperating? or does it just mean the weld is coming apart.

I think you'll find the epoxy will cost more then just having it welded. The autobody epoxies i've seen require an expensive applicator setup. That and I just cant imagine welding costing that much. It's the work after the welding that would take alot of time.

I have never see this. Even when i removed the structure from under the hood mine stayed flat. It sounds like someone sat on your hood and stretched the metal. I wouldnt spot weld it if thats the case. It would look better but still not good. Try to find a new hood. Picture would help.

Nick (nonsensekid) has an extra rs hood I believe that might be a better route than repairing, its not a cowl but it would work
