Well, after ordering the wrong adapter fittings twice I finally got the bird back on the road. Very Happy I'm giddy. It's nice to drive a tight, stiff car instead of the floaty, underpowered bimmer.

Plastic tank is all weird under there. But so much easier to pull in and out with the removable fillerneck.

Since the tank is plastic, the sender can't be grounded to the shell so I had to add a ground stud.

It's still pretty dirty under there...

Sadly, I gave up on the hover conversion when my ebay'd MrFusion didn't work like advertised!

I will say this, thirdgen frame rails are almost 6" wider than c6 frame rails. This could pose a problem...

How have you taken care of the fuel gauge? Run it thru the pcm since you have an obd2 system?

I'm actually on my way to go get the resistors right now. I'll probably get them in tomorrow and verify everything works.

A dollar or so in resistors > $100 for a sending unit.

So since I just went with aftermarket gauges, I gotta get a 97gtp sending unit?

Normally you can buy different gauges for different sending units. You have the nordskog/intellitronix setup right? Is that not configurable? Worst case scenario it should have the same resistors somewhere on the board I would presume?

yea, just got it this weekend. It is setup for the stock sending unit. I see no resistors of the type I know to look for.

BTW, did you relocate the charcole canister to ontop that as well? Thats actually the main reason I want do this mod.

Well, up until now I haven't had any charcoal can. I yanked that off back in the TPI days. I did plumb the vent and such in. I did not, however, hook it up electrically. As far as I've read when it's not plugged in it just acts like a filtered vent (similar to the factory vent back at the tank).

I'm surprised at the no resistor thing, how is it calibrated?
