Off of my '85. Car was originally a 215/65/15 car.
Junkyard has an $11 core on it. If anyone offers me that in a week it's theirs. |

How hard is one of these babies to swap out? I have never done one before. Mine is getting a little sloppy, is yours any better? _________________ 84 Camaro Z28 - LS1/T56

Three bolts, one nut, and a smack with a pickle fork.
This one will be coming with no pitman, so you'll need an impact and a puller for that.
Couldn't answer your question about slop. Steers fine around the yard and on and off trailers though.
If you want it installed, come down this weekend. |

I don't have a puller so I'd love to take you up on your offer of assistance, however I have zero interior and I don't see that situation improving by the weekend. Maybe sometime soon? I can pay in if you find that acceptable.
Thinking about finding an IROC box instead, but nearly free is a pretty good deal to pass up if it has a chance of improving my wandering and play. I'm too used to rack-and-pinion now after driving Subarus for so long. _________________ 84 Camaro Z28 - LS1/T56

Say... a sixer of 21st costs exactly as much as the core charge I would be getting back if I turned this box in. Funny thing about that.
You should bring your interior down, we can do that too.
Also, speaking of which, do you still want that console with the clock? |

21st Amendment IPA? Can do. There's a place near me that sells it.
Ha, the easiest way to fit an entire interior in a thirdgen is to actually assemble it and put it in. I'm waiting for a couple parts to do the interior anyway. I'm getting a gauge pod and a couple other miscellaneous parts and doing some re-wiring to clean things up a bit. Plus I have to bring my wheels down to Chehalis this weekend hopefully to sell them to a gentleman, which means I must take the Subie. Not a good weekend. I'll come down in a couple weeks and we'll get 'er done if you're cool with that.
I do still want that console clock oh so badly. I hope it works well still. Did you ever see it running in your car? _________________ 84 Camaro Z28 - LS1/T56

Well, I never saw it in the car, and I never saw it running, so...
I think I'm gonna go with no console in the Z. Just a shift boot and maybe build a small cupholder armrest thing farther back. Never liked the brick-wall console in f-bodies. |

Whatevs. Brick wall console is the best.

You forgot to mention the three more bolts, one more nut for the fender brace that covers one of the "3 bolts"
I just pulled mine off along with the intermediate shaft so I could clean it up a bit and replace the rag joint. Rag joint doesn't look too bad BTW. _________________ 92 Camaro
