Don't the Nitto double up as a great corner carving tire, too?

You should be looking at subframe connectors even if you're only looking to run your car to the track's parking lot. Wink

I would have to agree! You will love the increased feeling of the car with a set on!

SFCs had the most significant effect on the feel of the car than anything else, combined, that I've added to the car - including shocks, springs, sway bars.

i just dont want my frame twisting at all...

and any brand preference on those too? i looked on summit and all the prices are the same for most of the brands...BMR, UMI, and global west

anyone know of a place that has em cheaper than $200 or is that about what they are

Each have their pros and cons, I have the UMI connectors and like them pretty well. Remember, along with the price of the connectors, there is the added cost to have them welded in. Depending on the shop, it can be as much as the connectors for hourly rates.

hmmm i feel like we've had this conversation at some point.... lol

I went with BMR's SFC009, definitely helps ALOT and most of the squeeks are gone from the flexing, Andrew @ LoCash welded them on for me for 80 bucks, they bolt on the outside of the LCA's, and get welded to them, then the fronts get welded up to the frame, apparently mines been beat to hell cuz we had to do some modding to get the drivers side on there right, like someone just beat it in with a hammer, or nailed a speed bump going way to fast lol

any way, they ran me like 200$ i believe, i got them from summit and after the welding i was just shy of 300, not bad for the pros of them, and you probly wont find them for under 200, thats about the going rate

Buy a subframe connector from the same company you want the torque arm, if you plan to upgrade your torque arm eventually. Sometimes the relocated torque arms are integrated to the subframe connectors. Everything is easier if you already have the right subframe connectors.

For example, I have Kenny Brown subframe connectors (don't think they are made any longer). They are round tube. I've been looking at a BMR short arm drag suspension but it mounts to a square BMR subframe tube. Kind of hard to weld up to a round subframe like what I have. But my KB's are already welded in so they are NOT coming out.

Notch the torque arm to fit to round tube? Or just duct tape it that will work right? Laughing

That crack in the frame near steering box is what the steering brace (aka 'wonder bar') was designed to help prevent. If your bud can fix it for you might be a good idea to invest in one.
