Got the 2000 Camaro home from Louisiana late last night.

So how does it look? It's not embarrassing to drive, but let's just say I'm not going to feel guilty making it a roller. And he sent me home on rotten junk yard tires. Good thing I had the trailer. Rolling Eyes

But before he took the Z06 wheels and tires off, he did take me for a drive. I bought the car for the drivetrain and I think I did good. It spun the tires at 60 mph from a roll. Did you get that? It didn't spin the tires dropping the clutch.... it spun the tires just pushing the throttle to the floor. And when it hooked it ran hard. Amazing what a 6.0L truck engine will do with a big cam, bolt-on's, and a tune.

Just picture in your mind any 2000 Camaro with 94K miles on the interior... and then make the body look like it has 200K miles.

So the plan is to yank the power train put and put it in the bird? Doesn't look that bad for a parts car? Are you swapping the brakes over too?

Yep.

I'm strategizing now what I want to pull for myself. I'm wondering if I can get the ABS and traction control to work. The traction control worked great on the Camaro. It can really save your butt with this engine.

Are the front hubs good? Can you crack one open for me and count the teeth on the reluctor? Very Happy

Ya, everything works on this car. It even has a line lock. It is a driver. It just doesn't have a show shine body.

No, I won't pull it apart until it warms up and I know exactly what to do with the Firebird. I don't have space to store another car that doesn't run. Laughing I need to sell the Firebird engine first as well because I don't want it sitting in my garage taking up space. I'll be driving the Camaro for a bit.
