I found these on CL and picked em up yesterday. Came with the center caps, lug nuts and lug covers, and 4 locking lugs w/ the key. I'm gonna clean em up and then decide if I wanna paint the centers black or just leave em. There's very very minimal curb rash so not bad for $140 IMHO.

The black on the rim is just grease, they're pretty dirty. The tires are Toyo Proxes FZ4's and are in decent shape and have maybe 30-40% tread.

They came off a totaled, 1 owner, low mileage '88 Formula. They look like they've been well taken care of so maybe I'll just clean them up and go. I can always paint them or whatever later.

I figured w/ all these suspension upgrades in the works I needed a better wheel/tire combo and I've always wanted Formula wheels on my T/A so it was a deal I couldn't refuse.

I dig the powder coating on Brandon's convex 16" wheels. The ones Slacker bought are the 15" concave version. Not sure they would look as good.

Anywhere from 100-140 each I suppose. I've been looking at tirerack and onlinetires.com but I'm not sure what to get. All the reviews I can find aren't on cars with similar size, weight or drivetrain.

I love my bridgestone potenza's but they dont make this version anymore.

I ran Kumho AST's on mine, they were okay dry, crappy wet. Dirt cheap, though.

When you buy from tire rack you gotta figure in shipping, plus an extra $10-$15 for mount and balance locally (unless you buy wheels from them as well). Their low prices can bite you quick.

Brandon, they make a newer Potenza in that same size:

Not sure if the new one is as good, though. I will say I drove my Mom's Booick with the Potenza's she has on it and was very impressed with them.

Was just meaning that since they dont make this version, I cant comment on how the newer ones handle or wear.

I just put a set of Firehawk GT tires on my 89 this weekend. So far I'm liking them, pretty good in the wet. Firestone was running a special on them, buy 3, get the 4th free, so the $190 each price turns to about $140.

I ran a set of Firehawks on my truck several years ago. They were good tires.
