So Ive got some of the parts in for the 2 new pc's I'm building. I am building with intel's socket 1366.

The fan mounting system is just WAY to cheap and flimsy IMO. I can grab the thing and yank it off the mobo with very little effort. Being that both of these systems will sit on the floor, I can see them getting kicked and knocking it off.

So, besides just replacing the whole setup with what I have searched on has the same mounting style....

Does anyone of a setup that uses a backing plate to screw into and still retain the stock heatsink? Just replace the fan n mounting?

No personal experience with it (the last Intel I built was a socket 775 Core2), but obviously there is aftermarket support.
