So after i got it back to the shop i started by taking the entire hood off again (which by the way is a lot more awkward to undo and hold the thing yourself)
i figured i should start by getting that snapped bolt out, so our snap on rep came by and i bought a screw extractor set, and then when i was drilling into it i snapped the damn bit off in the bolt.... so then i went to home depot to find a colbalt bit, spent waaaay too much time on it so i said screw it and just ran the 1/4" bit through, ran a tap into it and threw a bolt in there so theres one problem fixed

Then i sanded down the entire thing and found a couple more cracks, mainly around the vents and 2 scratched up spots on the front, so i mixed up some duraglass and started getting to work on patching the chips, used some resin on the corner to harden the loose fibers, and then built out with it to reconstruct it, sanded it all down and the got down to priming it up, not a perfect job but looks really arent my thing lately lol anyway, heres a couple pics theyre pretty self explanatory

Ha ha... that hood was on John's car for years looking like crap the whole time. Dude's had it like five minutes and it's already sanded, fixed, and painted. Laughing so hard it hurts

I love those hoods. My favorite 3rd gen hood. I think you me and chris are the only ones who have them.

Silverdale store is closed now. Just Bremerton by Auto Center Way and Poulsbo now.

I was there when the shut down the east side mobile radio. Didn't hear they shut down silverdale. My dad works at Liberty Bay Auto where the Poulsbo branch started. That's still there right? Auto center way was a weird one. Lots of factory upgrade kind of things. AC, cruise, keyless, and deck/two installs.

I still remember when I met you and the camaro, Al. Back in 97ish. Haha.
