				| Fired up the 85 to take it around the block and while it was still cold, it made some popping sounds almost like backfiring and the car was sluggish. After it warmed up, seemed alright, but i didn't stomp on it. It's carbed with auto choke and mechanical advance LG4...any ideas? Help is appreciated. _________________

				| Your choke doesn't come off fast enough James. Fix that first, then see if it still does it. | |

 That came out wrong.

Anyway, slightly loosen the three screws around the plastic cap on the pass. side. Spin the cap back and forth to adjust how fast the choke comes off when the engine warms up.

I adjust so it's barely closed with the car stone-cold. Some guys do it hot. Just play with it a bit.

				| I dont think you can adjust the choke on an LG4. Mine is notched so you can't turn it. More likely a problem with the pull off. | |

I realized that after posting, but figured I'd roll with it. _________________
