| Not the ground FX, the whole nose. |

its easy to do in one piece. take the hood off first.
there is the bolts on the tops of the fenders
bolts holding "tool tray"
4 nuts on each of the two main bumper supports.
unhook wheel wells and door gfx from fenders.
there is one bolt on the bottom of the rear of each fender
there is a triangle piece with two bolts on each side of the front of the fenders
then the air dam
i think thats about it for a firebird..
took me 2 hours to take everything off by myself. _________________ -Donald

fairly close to the same for camaro.
The hardest are the bolts that are the top ones to the fenders. You need a 10mm deep well, and a flexible arm. |

For just the nose, there is no reason to remove the hood. There are 4 bolts on the inside of each fender that bolt the poly nose piece to the fenders. Then there are clips and/or bolts that attach the side of the front gfx to the fenders (this is on a Camaro). The head lights and turn signals need to be disconnected also. The chin spoiler also has several supports that attach to the bottom of the crash bar. Anything I forgot? _________________ '86 Trans Am - 5.0L TPI - LT1 cam - 700R4 - WS6

Actually its not the chin spoiler thats attached to the metal support. That is the full nose.
Some cars have a air deflector in there. Forgot how its attached??? |

All cars have an air deflector, unless they're Chris' cars overheating on the way to Cows. It bolts to the radiator support. Not involved in the nose at all.
No need for hood removal. Don't know where that came from.
Camaro has no bolts to the "tool tray" since the Camaro tray is plastic and non-structural. There is a row of tap screws inbetween the tray and the nose which need to be removed.
Also got to remember to ask why he wants to remove it. This is the same kid who got a wild hare to remove his torque arm for no good reason. |

Aaron, I think your talking about the one UNDER the car... which bolts to the core support. Yes.
But mine had a broken one on it when I got the car that was some type of scoop from the holes in the front cover. It had gm numbers and stampings on it also. |

I had the torque arm off because I was swapping the engine. And yes, I'm talking about the front bumper. Not sure how you got air deflector from nose piece.. |

I've always found disassembly very easy. It's putting things back together that is the hard part. |

Or when you're just not paying very much attention when you're taking it apart then wonder where the heck that bolt came from. |
