I did this last sunday morning. And i was clad i used my 12v screw gun too many screws.

I think you can get away with that on the birds, and the later camaro's like mine, but the early camaro dashes, I think you have to rip it all out. |

this is my 2nd heater core replacement and the first time with my t/a took me a day and night with hand drivers. the iroc took me 3 hours with a lil screw gun. Don't want hand cramps. _________________

I see somebody followed the service manual. And yes, it can be done without doing all that.. though its hard not to break something doing it. |

i had too with this camaro. the dash sits in further in than my t/a also had to fix one of my ducts, and also found a original dealer key chain tag which was cool. _________________

I did it on my '87 in about 30-45 minutes going under the dash.
I then did it on my '84 going under the dash and it took about 3 hours, however I left a single b**ch of a bolt out when i re-assembled and it is do-able in about 20 minutes now.  _________________ 84 Camaro Z28 - LS1/T56

that bolt on top??? that needs to be on there it holds the rod that changes air direction. _________________

That one is still there, it was one of the top bolts holding the front half of the case to the firewall. Everything else was easy to get to. _________________ 84 Camaro Z28 - LS1/T56
