We ended up having a small gathering of Crewbies at James' house today for some parts swapping and hanging out. Luke stopped by to sell me back a TPI manifold. BluFbdy bought my fiberglass crossfire hood. Aaron dropped in to offer his sage wisdom. Popballz was unable to get a ride (and none of us thought to go pick him up from just across town) and as of about 5:30 Adamgbabcock was still a no show. It was cool getting to meet Blufbdy (whos name I still don't know) and hanging out with the guys. Cool

Dude.... it's time to let go of those pants. I've seen homeless men better dressed.

Work clothes, Jon. People who aren't engineers need them for doing actual work. Razz

Doesn't everyone mow the lawn in casual slacks that aren't good enough to wear to the office any longer?

Adambabcock was a no-call/no-show, so i'm back to square one with a stock flat hood that i have to store, but at least we got the fiberglass hood back on someone's car.

So how did Dirty Steve go over with the typical Vulvo owners?

That is my queue to buy new pants for work. When I get grass stains on my good work pants, because I forgot to change before I mowed the lawn.

Shoot, maybe I have been doing this all wrong my entire life.

Oddly enough, the median age of volvo owners at that dyno seemed younger than me! The bulk of the group seemed to have 2wd wagons just like Steve's. I did see a stock 2010 GT500 put down 456hp. I thought they were rated at 500hp?

Buh? That's less than 10% drivetrain loss. You sure it was stock?

Supposedly. Even looked like factory paper air filter. The owner of some big ford dealer's son owned it I think? Dude didn't know what it redlined at.

My desk job isn't like what you might think. I wear steel toe shoes to work every day and keep a hard hat in my car. I never know when I'll have to go troubleshoot a machine in the field. Once a week I tear down and analyze parts returned under warranty. And I've traveled the world on the company dime.

Given all that, you know what causes my clothes to wear the most? I've had to retire several shirts because of holes in the elbow from rubbing on my desk operating the mouse. Don't kid yourself... desk jobs are hard on clothes. Very Happy

Laughing Spend 2 days with them at a gathering in another state and you'll find out just how odd they are.
