How's it going guys? I thought I'd jump on with a new profile as I haven't been on in a long time and forgot my old info. Used to be Slacker85TA. I sold chevymad that 74 Formula and brought my silver 72 Chevy truck to the dyno a few years ago. I've recently done a bunch of work on my first car, my 85 T/A, and my GFs been driving it to work a few days a week. She's totally in love with the car now and tells me about nice third gens she sees all the time.
Hope to be more active on here as I have a lot more free time lately and I've only scratched the surface of things I wanna do to my T/A. PEACE!

Welcome back! I'd actually forgotten who i'd gotten the formula from... Anyway, its coming along pretty well. New motor, rebuilt trans, new brakes, new doors and front fenders, new seats, new tires.. Replacing the drivers quarter panel now.. So um.. ya.. New car lol.
If you know any history of the old beast, I'd like to hear it. Just send me a PM. |

Awesome that your girl digs thirdgens. My GF calls them "red neck mobiles" and refuses to ride in my Camaro. _________________ '86 Trans Am - 5.0L TPI - LT1 cam - 700R4 - WS6

Welcome back man. If you prefer, I can just reset your password on your old account and then you can get in and change it.

Naw its not a big deal. Thanks anyway, Schultzy. I kinda like SlackerTA better anyway.
I sold that silver '72 Chevy I had and got an automatic '95 Z28. With bolt-ons and factory 3.42 gears it would run 13 flat and get 22mpg all day long. That car sold me on EFI!
I sold that and got a '70 Monte Carlo w/ a 2bbl 350 and a mean shift kit in the th350. White w/ blue vinyl top and interior. I added a Performer intake with a 600cfm Edelbrock carb and dual exhaust with Hooker mufflers. It ran great as a daily driver and got better mileage w/ the 4bbl on it. Go figure!
We currently have:
'92 Nissan Stanza. Kid carrier/grocery getter. 2.4l w/ a 5spd.
'85 T/A. My first car. LG4, 700R4, Edelbrock headers, Hooker cat-back.
'69 Nova. GF's first car. Currently 250 I6, coming soon: paint and a SBC. |

Cool. Always had a soft spot in my heart for that incarnation of the Nova.
T/A looks good!

Thanks!
The Novas our project at the moment. It's originally a 350/4bbl w/ a th350 but the previous owner blew the 350 and swapped in a rebuilt 250 I6 that he had. It has 4 wheel disc brakes and 17" rims w/ z-rated tires. Looks cool but its slow and doesn't handle or stop well. Has a lot of wiring issues due to previous owner messing with almost every electrical system. Has a lot of potential but it needs paint and a few panels replaced which we already have. I'll try and get a couple pics of it up on here. |
